We make DuctWright, so we're not neutral. Prices and features come from each company's public pricing and product pages, read on September 19, 2026. We haven't used the other products ourselves. Where we rely on reviews from other sites, we say so. Plans change, so confirm on their site before you decide.

Both offer a 14-day free trial with no card. DuctWright has no yearly commitment.
Equipment records
Housecall Pro's HVAC page lists equipment tracking on Essentials and above. It describes "a complete service and equipment history on each property." Its cheapest plan, Basic, doesn't list it. On DuctWright, every plan includes equipment records, and each unit is its own record with warranty and refrigerant fields.
QuickBooks
Housecall Pro lists QuickBooks Online sync on Essentials and above. DuctWright includes QuickBooks Online sync on every plan. Both sync invoices from the software into QuickBooks.
Payments
Housecall Pro has its own payment processing. Customers can pay by card, and you can use Tap to Pay or mobile checks. DuctWright doesn't process payments at all. You collect the way you do now and record it. If you want one tool to take the money, Housecall Pro is the better fit.
Dispatch and tracking
Housecall Pro's HVAC page describes a live map and "On my way" texts with GPS tracking. DuctWright schedules by date and lets you assign each job to a tech. It can also order a tech's day by route. It has no live truck tracking, on purpose.
Where Housecall Pro is stronger
- It's a larger company with more integrations, more reviews and a longer track record.
- It has payroll, marketing automation and reporting that scores each tech.
- Its apps are in the iOS and Android stores. DuctWright runs in the phone's browser.
- It has a dedicated onboarding specialist on its top plan.
Switching
Export your customer list from Housecall Pro as a spreadsheet and upload it to DuctWright as a CSV. Names, phone numbers, emails and service addresses come across. Equipment and job history don't import yet.
